Welcome to the 42nd annual Virginia Independent School State Wrestling Tournament! The tournament is sponsored by the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (VISAA) and is being held this year at Hermitage High School in Richmond, VA. Over the years private school wrestling in Virginia has gained in numbers and prestige. Many of our wrestlers and schools have built solid reputations as outstanding individuals and school wrestling programs. Often, our wrestlers are ranked high in their respective regions and state. Our more accomplished wrestlers also compete on Virginia national teams such as the state Freestyle and Greco teams and participate in the Cadet and Junior National Tournament. This success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the wrestlers and their coaches, schools and parents who support the sport. The state tournament continues to grow in size and prominence and we hope that all the participants, coaches, parents and fans have a truly rewarding experience.
